ABOUT Chicken Achari Tikka RECIPE

Its an authentic mughlai reciepe, with flavour of pickle used by the spices made to make a pickle. Its a twist with a tangy flavour of traditional pickle.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Chicken boneless 300 gms
  2. Lemon juice 2 tbl spoon
  3. Ginger paste 1 tbl spoon
  4. Garlic 1 tblspoon
  5. Kashmiri mirch powder 2tblspn
  6. Besan 2 tblspn
  7. Butter 1tblspn
  8. Hung curd 3 tspn
  9. Mustard oil 2 tblspn
  10. Meethi seeds 2tsp
  11. Saunf 2tsp
  12. Rai 1 tsp
  13. Kalonji 2 tsp
  14. Black salt 1 tsp
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut chicken pcs into tikka size. Marinate it with ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, salt and kashmiri mirch powder. Keep aside for half an hour.
  2. In a pan, heat butter and add besan. Saute till it fragrant.
  3. Dry roast all the pickle masala i.e. methi dana, saunf, kalonji and rai seeds. Just roast, make it a point it should not turn black. Make a coarse powder of it using a mixer.
  4. Now in a bowl, add sauteed besan, hung curd, mustard oil, pickle masala and black salt. mix well. Add it to the marinated chicken and keep aside for an hour more.
  5. Heat oil in a pan, add chicken pieces one by one. Fry till golden brown in colour.
  6. Serve it with onion rings.
