ABOUT Thalpith RECIPE

Thalpith is a multigrain pancake made with a flour called BhajneeFlour (Chana daal, Urad daal, Coriander seeds, Cumin seeds, Wheat, Rice,jowar bajra) .I am making it without bhajnee flour.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup whole wheat flour
  2. 1)2 cup Jowar flour
  3. 1/2 cup besan
  4. 2-3 chopped onion
  5. 1 large chopped tomato
  6. 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  7. 1/2 tsp green chilli paste
  8. 5-6 Curry Leaves
  9. Salt to taste
  10. 1 tsp cumin powder
  11. Pinch of Asafoetida
  12. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  13. 1 tsp Coriander powder
  14. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  15. 1/2 cup chopped Coriander
  16. Oil for shallow frying
  17. For Garnishing...
  18. 1/2 cup desicated coconut
  19. 1/2 cup chopped coriander.

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients and make a tight dough.
  2. Heat tawa and sprinkle some water on it (just few drops).Take a portion of dough and spread it on tawa by applying water on hands.
  3. Make holes and put oil from the sides .garnish with coriander leaves and coconut.cover it and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Remove and serve with green chutney, sauce ,curd, shejwain sauce, jaggery ,Achar, limbu mirch ,butter,coconut and curd chutney etc according to your taste.
  5. U can add manchurian masala and skip all other masalas in the recipe.
