ABOUT SPECIAL PAYYOLI CHICKEN FRY RECIPE

Special payyoli chicken fry is a dry chicken fry with the authentic malabar flavors. This spicy and yummy chicken fry is quite popular in payyoli, a place situated in the North malabar coast of Kerala. Try it !

Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. 1.  Dried kashmiri redchillies  -  10 to 15
  2. 2.  Chicken pieces  - 600gm
  3. 3.  Ginger paste  -  1 tspn
  4. 4.  Garlic paste  -  2 tspn
  5. 5.  Vineger  -  2 tspn
  6. 6.  Red chilli powder  -  1/2 tspn
  7. 7.  Turmeric powder  -  1/4 tspn
  8. 8.  Cornflour  -  2 tspn    
  9. 9.  Salt
  10. 10.  Rice flour  -  1 tspn  
  11. 11.  Grated coconut  -  4 tbspn
  12. 12.  Oil  
  13. 13.  Curry leaves  
  14. 14.  Green chilli

Instructions

  1. Boil dried redchillies in water for about 10 -15minutes and grind it to a smooth paste.
  2. Marinate the cleaned chicken pieces with ginger paste, garlic paste, vineger, redchilli powder, turmeric powder, cornflour and salt.
  3. Take out a teaspoon of dried red chilli paste and keep aside and add remaining paste to the chicken.
  4. Let it stay for 1 or 2 hours.
  5. Add rice flour to the chicken and mix well.
  6. Heat oil for deep frying and deep fry till cooked and chicken turns slightly crispy.
  7. Fry some curry leaves and green chilli and keep aside.
  8. Take grated coconut and add it to the teaspoon of redchilli paste and salt.
  9. Deep fry this coconut mix till golden . Take care not to burn the coconut. Serve the chicken with fried curry leaves, greenchilli and coconut. Serve hot.
