ABOUT Phirni Falooda Trifle RECIPE

Phirni Falooda Trifle is a fusion recipe. It looks amazing but it taste delicious as well. Tempting dessert made in no time with all the ingredients available in the kitchen. Sharing with you all one of my favorite recipe. Phirni is my all time fav , it is a rice flour milk pudding most popular in northern Indian and falooda is one another popular street food drink , How about combining both and making a fusion dessert. It will make a perfect dessert isn’t it, You can customize this dessert and present it as you wish. I presented it in layers. I love to make such fusion cooking and it gives me so much of happiness when they turn out yumm.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For Phirni : 1 cup milk
  2. 2 tablespoons Basmati rice, soaked for 30 minutes
  3. ¼ cup sugar
  4. ¼ teaspoon green cardamom powder
  5. Roasted Chopped Almond
  6. Roasted Chopped Pistachio
  7. Few rose petals
  8. Falooda Sev : 1/2 cup Corn flour
  9. 1 Cup water
  10. 2 tsp sugar
  11. Food Color (Optional)
  12. Milk Bread
  13. Rasberry Jam
  14. Chocolate for garnishing
  15. Rose syrup for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Method For Phirni : Heat milk in a non-stick pan and bring to boil.
  2. Grind drained rice along with 1-2 tablespoons water to make a smooth mixture.
  3. Add ground rice to boiled milk, mix and cook till rice is done and mixture thickens, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add sugar, mix and cook till it melts and mixture thickens.
  5. Add cardamom powder to phirni and few rose petals and mix well.
  6. Also add in the chopped almonds and pistachios to the Phirni and combine everything well.
  7. Remove from heat and bring down to room temperature.
  8. Remove it in the molds and refrigerate for about 1-2 hours until completely set.
  9. For Falooda Noodles : Take corn flour into a bowl and add water, sugar. Mix well.
  10. Heat up a pan on medium heat and transfer the mixture into it. Cook on medium heat until it thickens up.
  11. Stir continuously. No lumps of corn flour should be formed. As the mixture gets cooked it turns like wheat kurdai flour.
  12. When corn flour gets nice glaze, cook for another 2 minutes on very low heat. Turn off the gas and take a chakali mold.
  13. Fit sev dish at the base of the mold and fill it with corn flour mixture.
  14. Take ice cold water into a bowl and add few ice cubes in it. Roll the noodles in the ice cold water.
  15. You can use color of your choice while making noodles.
  16. Transfer the bowl into freeze for 30 minutes to set. After 30 minutes, drain the noodles through a strainer. Falooda noodles are ready.
  17. Trifle Pudding : Take Milk bread on one side apply rasberry jam and put another bread on top. Cut the corners of the bread.
  18. Assembling : Take falooda in the centre of the plate. Keep the bread and put the phirni on top.Sprinkle some cardamom powder on top. Garnish with finely chopped almonds and pistachios. Use chocolate too.
  19. Finally top it up with Rose Syrup.
  20. Tempting Dessert is ready to eat.
