Its a version of kopta curry. It goes well with Roti Naan Etc.

Moong dal malai Kopta curry

Ingredients to make Moong dal malai Kopta curry

  • Yellow moong dal - 1/2cup
  • Soya chunks-1/4cup
  • Boiled potato-1medium size
  • Boiled onion Paste- 2medium size
  • ginger garlic paste- 2tbsp
  • kaju and Magaj paste- 4tbsp
  • Milk-1/4cup
  • salt to taste
  • Kasuri methi-1tsp
  • Garam masala-1/4tsp
  • Corn flour
  • oil for frying
  • sugar-1/2tsp
  • water for gravy

How to make Moong dal malai Kopta curry

  1. Soak moong dal for 3-4hrs then make a fine paste of it
  2. Boil Soya chunks and grind it coarsly
  3. Now mix moong dal Soya chunks and boiled potato salt to taste and corn flour
  4. Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Make balls of the mixture. And deep fry them till golden brown .
  5. Next in a pan heat a 1tbsp oil then add kasuri methi then ginger garlic paste cook for a min then add boiled onion paste cook for 2-3min
  6. Next add kaju magaj paste salt to taste and cook for more 2mins
  7. Now add the milk and mix and some water as per gravy
  8. Next add the koptas to it. And bring it to a boil
  9. Now add garam masala and sugar. Mix all.
  10. Moong kopta curry is ready
