Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Puffed rice ( karthigai pori) 3 cups
  2. Grated jaggery 1 cup
  3. Water 1/4 cup
  4. Dry ginger powder 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Elichi power 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Coconut chips 4 tablespoons
  7. Sesame seeds 2 teaspoons
  8. Ghee 2tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Dry roast Pori for 2 minutes
  2. Dry roast sesame seeds
  3. Add 1 teaspoon ghee and fry coconut chips
  4. Melt jaggery in water and filter it
  5. Now make a thick syrup of jaggery
  6. To check its consistency, in a bowl take some water and add few drops of syrup
  7. Make ball of the dropped syrup
  8. It should be firm thick ball when dropped in a steel plate it should make noise
  9. Add ginger powder and cardamom powder to the syrup
  10. Add fried coconut and sesame seeds to it
  11. Now pour this hot mixture in to the Pori and mix well
  12. Rub some ghee on palm
  13. Make balls of Pori tightly
