About Paneer pulao Recipe

Mild spiced paneer pulao

Paneer pulao

Ingredients to make Paneer pulao

  • 1.5 cup basmati rice. Washed and drained
  • 100 GM paneer cubes
  • 2 sliced onions
  • 1 green chillies
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp besan
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup chopped vegetable. (carrot, beans, cauliflower, green peas, potato)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cardamom
  • 5 cloves
  • 1 aniseed
  • 1/2 inch cinnamon.
  • 5 peppercorn
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi

How to make Paneer pulao

  1. Marinate the paneer cubes with 1 tbsp besan, some salt, red chilli powder, garam masala, kasuri methi and 1 tsp oil
  2. In a pressure cooker. Heat ghee or oil. Add whole spices, (bayleaf, cloves, cardamom, peppercorns, aniseed, cinnamon)
  3. Add sliced onions. Fry till golden. Add green chillies and ginger garlic paste. Cook till raw smell goes off..
  4. Add the chopped vegetable. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add coriander leaves. Cook till 2 minute more.
  5. Add salt and 2.5 cup water. Let it boil. Now add the drained rice. Mix well.
  6. Cook till 2 whistles. Meanwhile. Heat oil in pan. Fry the marinated paneer cubes and keep aside.
  7. Open the lid. Fluff the rice and add fried paneer. Mix well. Serve hot with any curry or raita.
