Spinach or palak good source of iron, calcium and other vitamin and dietary fibers. Spinach are used to make Indian and international cuisine.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Gram flour 1/2 cup
  2. Semolina 1/2 cup
  3. Rice flour 1/4 cup
  4. Oats 1/4 cup
  5. Red chilli powder 2 tsp
  6. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  7. Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
  8. Cummin seeds 1/4 tsp
  9. Ajwain seeds 1/4 tsp
  10. Chilli ginger paste 1 tsp
  11. Palak chopped 1 cup
  12. Onion 1 chopped
  13. Curd 1/4 cup
  14. Salt
  15. Oil
  16. Chutney
  17. Tea


  1. Take four flours in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add palak, red chilli powder, turmeric, cummin seeds, ajwain seeds, onion, chilli ginger paste, curd, salt and mix add water and make batter.
  3. Add 1/4 tspEno. It is not compulsory. Without Eno cheela will be soft.
  4. Heat a non stick pan and one ladle full of batter on hot tawa. Pour some oil over and side of cheela. roast for few minutes.
  5. Now flip the side and roast from other side until it gets brown. Now make more cheelas like this way.
  6. Piping hot taste and delicious cheelas are ready to serve with chutney and tea.
