Its a steamed sweet rice cake with the goodness of pumpkin . As it is steamed in banana leaf it has great aroma and flavour. Its also zero oil healthy breakfast to start the day with.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Raw Rice 1 cup
  2. Yellow Pumpkin 1 cup
  3. Coconut grated 1/2 cup
  4. Jaggery 1/2 cup
  5. Elachi powder 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Banana leaf 1
  7. Kishmish 1 tablespoon


  1. Soak rice in sufficient water for about 3 hours. The drain thw water and add it to mixie along with coconut and pumpkin.
  2. Add two tablespoon of water to jaggery and boil for few minutes and strain the syrup to remove impurities. Allow it to cool
  3. Grind them into smooth paste by adding soaked water little by little into a thick paste. Then add filtered jaggery syrup and elachi powder and gove a good mix.
  4. Rinse a banana leaf and cut into shape of the bowl . Keep it into the bowl and pour the batter into it. Add kishmish on top of it.
  5. Steam it for about 20 minutes. Allow it to cool and cut into desired shapes and serve.
