ABOUT Dry Fruits And Dink Laddoo RECIPE

This winter delicacy is perfect nutritious breakfast with a glass of milk, made with wheat flour, ghee, gond and lots of dry fruits. These laddoos can be consumed by anyone but are very beneficial for lactating mothers and growing kids. These lovely, energetic and healthy laddoos are eaten during winters which provides warmth to the body. Its really easy to make this tasty nutritious laddoo at home.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Wheat flour 1 cup
  2. Clarified butter/ghee 3/4th cup
  3. Peanuts 1/4th cup
  4. Gond/dink/edible gum 1/2 cup
  5. Dry dates 100 grams
  6. Walnut kernels 1/2 cup
  7. Dessicated coconut or grated dry coconut 1/2 cup
  8. Almonds 1/2 cup
  9. Cashews 1/2 cup
  10. Raisins 1/4th cup
  11. Chironjee 2 tbsp
  12. Flax seeds 2 tbsp
  13. Makhana 1 cup
  14. Poppy seeds 2 tbsp
  15. Pistachios 1/4th cup
  16. Boora or powdered sugar 1 cup
  17. Cardamom powder 1 tsp
  18. Nutmeg powder 1/4th tsp

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan on low flame. Dry roast peanuts and let it cool down completely. Powder the peanuts in mixer and keep it aside.
  2. Remove the seeds from dry dates and dry roast it for 2-3 minutes on low flame. Let it cool down completely. Powder the roasted dates in mixer and keep aside.
  3. Dry roast walnut kernels and powder it in mixer. Keep aside.
  4. Dry roast the dessicated coconut and keep aside.
  5. Dry roast the flax seeds and poppy seeds separately on low flame. Powder it in mixer.
  6. Now in a big mixing bowl, take all the dry roasted and powdered ingredients together. Mix well and keep aside.
  7. Now heat 4 tbsp ghee in a pan and fry gond on low flame till it puffed up and becomes crispy. Take it out in a plate and crush with hands or in mortar.
  8. In the same pan, roast almonds, cashews, pistachios and makhana separately on low flame. Let them cool down. Crush with hands or in mortar.
  9. Heat 1 tsp ghee and roast raisins and chironjee separately.
  10. Now mix everything well with dry roasted peanuts and dates powder mixture. Keep aside.
  11. Heat all the leftover ghee in a pan. Add wheat flour and roast till golden brown.
  12. Mix it with the other ingredients let the mixture cool down slightly.
  13. Add in the elaichi powder, nutmeg powder and boora. Mix everything very well and make lemon sized laddoos.
  14. Enjoy these yummy and healthy laddoos with a cup of hot milk.
