About Poori with dal Recipe

Poori with dal is another typical breakfast dish in our house.kids love it and so do adults.

Poori with dal

Ingredients to make Poori with dal

  • For poori
  • 1 1/2 cup wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp carrom seeds
  • water,as required
  • oil, for frying
  • For dal
  • 1 cup split moong dal
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • salt,to taste
  • water,as required
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp dry mango powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1 onion

How to make Poori with dal

  1. Wash and soak and keep the dal aside.
  2. For poori,mix all the dry spices with wheat flour.
  3. Use water and make a dough and keep aside.
  4. Take dal and add salt,turmeric powder and water and cook in a pressure cooker.
  5. Make small balls of dough and deep fry the pooris .
  6. After the dal is done,remove in a bowl.
  7. Sprinkle red chilli powder and dry mango powder on top.
  8. Heat ghee in a tadka pan and put cumin seeds.
  9. Put this tadka on dal.
  10. Add chopped onions to the dal .
  11. Serve hot together.
