Palak Poori

Ingredients to make Palak Poori

  • palak leaves washed and chopped - 1 bowl
  • green chillies 3
  • coriander leaves a handful
  • sooji rava 1 tbsp
  • wheat flour as required for poori dough
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil for frying

How to make Palak Poori

  1. Grind together palak leaves, Coriander leaves and green chillies without adding water into a fine paste. Keep aside.
  2. Take a bowl. Add salt, jeera, turmeric powder, sooji rava, ground paste. Mix well. Add required water. Add wheat flour and knead into a Puri dough.
  3. Make equal sized balls and roll it into pooris.
  4. Deep fry in oil.
  5. Serve hot. No need of any side dish.

My Tip:

While preparing any poori add a little sooji rava. This makes the poori absorb less oil and become puffy.
