The winter is knocking at the door and nothing is more comforting than a big bowl of hot soup. Made, "CHICKEN HOT & SOUR SOUP".. A hot peppery soup made Chicken and veggies, egg, with delicious flavours of while spices and sauces.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Boneless chicken - 1/4 th cup
  2. Egg - 1
  3. Chopped veggies (carrots, beans, spring onions) - 1/2 cup
  4. Chopped green chillies - 1
  5. Chopped garlic - 2 tsp
  6. Chopped ginger - 1 tsp
  7. Soy sauce - 2 tsp
  8. Rice wine vinegar - 2 tsp
  9. Cornflour (as required for the thickness of the soup)
  10. Vegetable stock or water - 2 cups
  11. Salt
  12. Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  13. Refined oil


  1. Heat a wok with some oil. Add the chopped garlic, ginger and chillies.
  2. Saute until they smell and then add chopped boneless chicken. Stir and let then brown a bit.
  3. Then add the chopped veggies, salt and pepper. Lower the flame and cook for few minutes until the chicken is almost done.
  4. Then add the stock or water and let this boil for 10 minutes or so.
  5. Then whisk the egg and slowly drop it while stirring the soup.
  6. Then add the soy sauce and rice wine vinegar. Mix well and let this cook.
  7. Dissolve the cornflour in some water and add the slurry to the soup. Let this cook for few more minutes. Check for salt and serve.
