Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bacon 200 gms
  2. Spaghetti 1 pkt boiled as per pack instructions (Reserve 1 cup water before straining)
  3. Basil leaves 1 bunch
  4. Pine nuts 25 gms
  5. Garlic 4 to 5 cloves
  6. Black pepper as per taste
  7. Salt as per taste
  8. Chilli flakes as per taste
  9. Cherry tomatoes 50 gms
  10. Cheese 2 cubes
  11. Olive oil 2 tbsp


  1. For the Pesto sauce :
  2. Make a paste of basil leaves, pinenuts, garlic in a mixer. Add salt, olive oil and mix a while more. Add pepper and keep aside.
  3. Cut the cherry tomatoes into halves and roast them with salt and pepper for 10 minutes. Keep aside.
  4. Take a big pan, add olive oil and crushed garlic or paste. Fry for a minute, add the bacons and fry very lightly for a few minutes.
  5. Add the spaghetti, pesto sauce and toss well. Adjust the salt, pepper and chilli flakes. Toss well and add the reserved water if it is too dry (It even gives an extra glaze).
  6. Add lots of cheese and garnish with cherry tomatoes. Serve hot.
