Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mutton bones 500 grams.
  2. Ghee 2table spoon.
  3. Green cardemom 4nos .
  4. Star anis 1no.
  5. Cloves 4nos .
  6. Black pepper 10nos .
  7. Cumin seeds 1tea spoon.
  8. Finely chopped onion 1/2cup.
  9. Ginger _garlic paste 1tea spoon.
  10. Garam masala powder 1/2tea spoon.
  11. Bay leaves 2nos .
  12. Cinnamon stick 1.
  13. Nutmeg powder 1/4tea spoon.
  14. Salt to taste.
  15. Turmeric powder 1/2tea spoon.
  16. White pepper powder 1/2tea spoon.
  17. Chopped coriander leaves 1/2cup.


  1. Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan.Add all whole spices,saute for 1minute.
  2. When aromatic flavour start coming out ,add mutton bones,onion,ginger garlic paste and salt to the pan.
  3. Mix well add 2litres of water ,cover the pan.
  4. When boiling start,simmer the flame and cook for 1hour .
  5. Apply a weight on the lid of pan and slow cook till mutton is soft.
  6. Adjust the consistency of soup according to your choice.
  7. Add chopped coriander leaves,boil and serve hot .
