About Instant Amla Pickle Recipe

Amla is very good for health. This instant pickle can use as a sabji also.

Instant Amla Pickle

Ingredients to make Instant Amla Pickle

  • 200 gms amla
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp mustard oil
  • 1/2 mustard seeds
  • 1/2 kalonji
  • 1/2 red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp fennel powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • pinch of hing
  • 1/4 tsp mango powder

How to make Instant Amla Pickle

  1. Wash and chop them Amla (just like wedges) and discard the seeds.
  2. Take a pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, kalonji, fennel powder, let it crackle.
  3. Then add turmeric powder, salt, red chili powder, hing and 1/4 tsp mango powder
  4. Then add Amla and toss it for 5-8 mins in low flame.

My Tip:

Mango powder cut the sour of amla . You can add jaggary also if you want some sweet flavour. You can add curry leaves also if you want.
