ABOUT Little Hearts RECIPE

A traditional dish made by my mother during festivals.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Two and half cup wheat flour
  2. Two spoon rawa
  3. 200 gm jaggery (gud)
  4. Half spoon green cardamom powder
  5. One spoon sesame seeds
  6. Two spoon purified butter (deshi ghee)
  7. Oil or purified butter for frying
  8. Two spoon sugar powder
  9. Pinch of salt
  10. Half cup water

Instructions

  1. Dissolve jaggery in water and strain.
  2. Take a mixing bowl, put wheat flour, rawa, ghee, pinch of salt, cardamon powder, sesame seeds and mix well with hands.
  3. Add jaggery water and knead a hard dough.
  4. Cover with a cloth and keep it for 30 minutes.
  5. Now roll the dough on platform and make it flat with a roller pin. Make shape with a cookie cutter and cut little hearts.
  6. Heat oil and fry little hearts on medium flame.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar.
