Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup soaked urad daal for Dahi bada
  2. 1 cup soaked moong daal for chila
  3. 1 kg whipped yoghurt
  4. 1 tablespoon chopped Ginger
  5. 1 tablespoon chopped green chilli
  6. 2 table spoon raisins
  7. 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  8. 2 teaspoon salt
  9. 1 tablespoon heeng
  10. Oil for deep frying
  11. Chutney of your choice


  1. Grind soaked Dal separately and keep in bowls.
  2. In urad Daal batter, add chilli's, ginger, raisins, heeng, salt n baking soda. Now keep the batter for 10 mins.
  3. Now in Moong Daal batter, add salt and heeng and manage the flowing consistency so that you can easily spread the chila on tawa.
  4. Now in a deep kadhai, heat sufficient oil at medium flame and make the vadas. Fry them till they become golden brown.
  5. Now soak the badas in cold water for 5 mins. Now take out badas and keep them in fridge.
  6. Now keep the badas on plate, pour some whipped sweet yogurt. Now add some green and tamarind chutney. Sprinkle some chaat masala. Garnish with pomegranate seeds.
  7. For chilla- Heat a Dosa tawa and spread a few drops of oil. Pour 1 spoonfuls of batter and make chilla. Cook it till it becomes crispy and golden brown. Now enjoy chillas with chutney.
