generally we nowadays follow western culture and we have granola baars they are good for health but what our granny’s made for us was more healthier,they used to say in winters you should eat dry fruits,ghee,gud,gond (edible gum)these things give us energy and warmness in our body,these baars are made of ghee, gud wheat flour,semolina almonds and types of seeds

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. wheat flour 1 cup
  2. semolina 1/4 cup
  3. ghee 2 tbsp
  4. jaggery 1&1/2 cup (you can adjust according to your taste
  5. almond roughly chopped 1 tbsp
  6. pistachio roughly chopped 1 tbsp
  7. pumpkin seeds 1 tsp roughly grounded
  8. watermelon seeds 1 tsp roughly grounded
  9. sunflower seeds 1 tsp roughly grounded
  10. 1/2 tsp cardmom powder
  11. 1 tbsp whole mix seeds
  12. 2 tsp of edible gum (gond) Powder


  1. in a nonstick pan add ghee
  2. add whole wheat flour and roast on slow flame
  3. add semolina and roast ,let flame be on low
  4. roast till it turns golden and it will leave aroma of flour in your house
  5. add powdered edible gum it will start crackling in flour
  6. roast for 5-7 minutes more
  7. do not leave keep on stirring otherwise flour will get burnt
  8. now add all chopped dry fruits and seeds
  9. keep roasting for more two minutes
  10. remove in separate plate
  11. add 1 tsp of ghee on slow flame in same pan
  12. add finely chopped jaggery/gud to pan
  13. switch off the flame
  14. keep stirring it till jaggery melts add cardmom powder
  15. add roasted flour ,dry fruits and seeds to jaggery
  16. line a parchment paper in tin
  17. shift this in tin and press evenly
  18. sprinkle some whole seeds and press with spatula
  19. cut in your desired shape
  20. give one piece in morning to each member of your family in morning with milk its really healthy
