Sabj badam shorba

Ingredients to make Sabj badam shorba

  • oil 1 teaspoon
  • Bayleaf 1 number
  • Black pepper corns 8
  • cinnamon stick 1 inch
  • Black cardamom 2 pieces
  • cloves 6 number
  • oil 1 teaspoon
  • almonds 100 gram
  • onion 1 medium size
  • tomato 1 medium size
  • Green chilli 1 piece
  • ginger 1 inch
  • Garlic cloves 3...4
  • A pinch of turmeric powder
  • carrot 100 gram
  • cabbage 50 gram
  • cauliflower 50 gram
  • Green coriander stigs a handful
  • Beans 50 gram
  • Vegetable stock 1 litre
  • salt to taste
  • Red pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon

How to make Sabj badam shorba

  1. Heat oil in a pan
  2. Add whole spices
  3. When spices start crackling add garlic ,onion and ginger
  4. Saute well
  5. Add all the chopped vegetables ...stir well
  6. Add almonds ..saute well
  7. Add turmeric powder and vegetable stock
  8. Cover with a lid and let it cook for 5 minutes
  9. Now turn off the flame
  10. When cool down grind it
  11. Then sieve the soup
  12. Add salt and pepper powder
  13. Add more stock to balance the texture of shorba
  14. Take a boil and serve hot garnish with green coriander leaves and chopped almonds
