About Peas kachori (in Bengali style) Recipe

This is my winter comfort food ,it can be taken as breakfast , lunch and even in dinner , this is yummicious ,can serve in party or small get together, stuffing can refrigerate upto 5-6 days ,so it can be consume even when we are busy .

Peas kachori (in Bengali style)

Ingredients to make Peas kachori (in Bengali style)

  • 1½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp oil,for kneading dough
  • 3-3½ cup blanched peeled greenpeas
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds, roasted
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds, roasted
  • 1 tbsp fennel , roasted
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp asafoetida/Hing
  • 1 tbsp mustard oil
  • 3-4 cups oil,for frying
  • salt as per taste
  • water as required

How to make Peas kachori (in Bengali style)

  1. In a bowl take flour, salt and oil; combine it well.
  2. Now add water in little quantity;prepare not too hard, not too soft dough; cover and rest for 30 minutes.
  3. Put blanched greenpeas, green chillies, ginger paste, salt in a grinding jar and prepare a smooth paste.
  4. For preparing dry masala;put roasted coriander seeds, cumin seeds and fennel in a grinding jar , grind it coarsely.
  5. Now for preparing stuffing,in a heavy bottomed pan , heat mustard oil till smoking point,add dry masala and asafoetida ,fry till it crackle.
  6. Add greenpeas paste and cook it, stir it continuously.
  7. Cook till the mixture dried up, keep aside till it cool down.
  8. Divide flour dough and greenpeas mixture into equal small lemon size balls.
  9. Flattened a flour dough ball on the palm ,put greenpeas ball on it.
  10. Seal it properly.
  11. Prepare all in same process.
  12. Roll it like a poori.
  13. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai ,fry both sides till it turn golden brown.
  14. Serve hot with desired vegetables dishes or pickles, enjoy.

My Tip:

To make healthy ,wheat flour can used instead of all-purpose flour.
