ABOUT Masala Lachha Paratha RECIPE

It is a very easy and tasty recipe. If you want to cook something different instead of regular meal then you try this delicious recipe. You can also serve it as breakfast or lunch or dinner. You can serve it with dum aloo or ghugni or any chicken item.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. to make masala stuffing:
  2. 1,1/2 tbsp bengal gram flour
  3. 1/2 Teaspoon Asafoetida
  4. 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
  5. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  6. 1/2 Teaspoon Sugar
  7. 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
  8. to make paratha dough:
  9. 2 tbsp all purpose flour/ maida
  10. 250 gram wheat flour/ Atta
  11. One teaspoon sugar
  12. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  13. 2 + 2 tbsp refined oil
  14. LukeWarm water as required
  15. For Frying Paratha:
  16. 3 tbsp refined oil
  17. For Garnishing:
  18. 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. to make masala stuffing: add bengal gram flour, salt, sugar, cumin powder, asafoetida, red chilli powder and mix.
  2. Dry roast all these stuffing ingredients for about 2 minutes on medium flame by stirring continuously.
  3. Allow to cool at room temperature.
  4. to make paratha dough: add maida, atta, salt, sugar, 2 tbsp refined oil and mix well.
  5. gradually add the lukewarm water and gathering mixture to make a dough.
  6. Knead till dough is smooth and elastic.
  7. Apply a little oil over the dough and keep covered for 20 minutes.
  8. After 20 knead the dough again.
  9. Divide the dough into equal portions and make balls.
  10. Rub a little oil on rolling pin and board.
  11. Roll a ball of dough into a flat round.
  12. Apply 1 tsp oil on it.
  13. Apply 1 tsp masala stuffing mixture on it.
  14. First roll then round.
  15. Press lightly with hands.
  16. Again make it into a flat round rolling pin.
  17. For frying: heat a tawa/pan and add a paratha.
  18. Cook for 1 minutes on both sides.
  19. Apply 1 tsp oil on both sides and shallow fry for another 1 minute.
  20. Then transfer it into a casserole.
  21. Fry the remaining parathas in the same way.
  22. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
