ABOUT Pineapple flavoured rava cake RECIPE

This is very tasty pineapple flavoured rava/samolina cake. Kids would especially love this cake.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Ghee/butter 1/2 cup
  2. 3/4 cup sugar
  3. one and half cup rava/semolina
  4. half cup all purpose flour
  5. 1/4 cup yoghurt/curd
  6. 1 cup milk
  7. 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  8. Pinch of salt
  9. one teaspoon pineapple essence
  10. 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  11. half teaspoon baking soda
  12. Dry fruits

Instructions

  1. in a bowl, take melted ghee/butter, powdered sugar, whisk continuously, till the mixture turns silky smooth.
  2. Further add rava, maida, salt and cardamom powder.
  3. additionally add curd, 3/4 cup milk, mix well. Add milk if required to adjust the consistency, pour 1/4 cup more milk over top and level it up , this prevents from drying.
  4. Meanwhile, preheat the microwave Convection mode to 180℃ to 10 minutes and grease the caketin.
  5. After 30 minutes, also add pineapple essence, baking powder, baking soda, mix well, do not over mix.
  6. Transfer the mixture to cake tin and also tap twice to level up uniformly and remove any air bubbles if present.
  7. Bake the cake at 180℃ for 40 minutes.
  8. To check the cake has baked completely, always insert a toothpick at the centre and see if it comes out clean, else bake for 5 more minutes.
  9. further cool down the cake completely, also demould the cake.
  10. Finally cut the cake. Serve
