ABOUT Banana raita/Yogiratna RECIPE

This is a Konkani dish which can be relished as it is or as a dessert . I learnt this recipe from my maami in Mangalore, Karnataka.It is a good digestive food for babies without green chilli and Jeera.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Curd 1 cup
  2. Banana 2 or 3
  3. Green chilli 1
  4. sugar to taste
  5. Salt to taste
  6. jeera 1/2 tsp
  7. Ghee little


  1. Take a bowl and add curds,salt and sugar. Mix well.
  2. Now add bananas chopped into small pieces.
  3. Add finely chopped green chilli. Mix well.
  4. Heat ghee in a kadai. Splutter jeera and pour it over the raita.
  5. Ready to serve.
