A healthy tasty crispy snack with a vegetable

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Yam half kg
  2. Green chilli 2
  3. Coriander leaves a handful
  4. Garam masala half teaspoon
  5. Turmeric powder half teaspoon
  6. Chilli powder half teaspoon
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Garlic three numbers
  9. Ginger a small piece
  10. Oats 3 tablespoons
  11. Bread crumbs 6 tablespoons
  12. Oil to fry
  13. Maida 2 tbs

Instructions

  1. Peel and clean yam
  2. Cookies in a pressure cooker till three whistles in high flame
  3. Grind coriander leaves green chillies garlic ginger in to fine paste
  4. Mash yam with fingers
  5. Add ground paste chili powder turmeric powder salt and garam masala and mix well
  6. Add oats to it and mix well
  7. Sprinkle some bread crumbs and mix well
  8. Make slurry of maida
  9. Make bullet shapes of the yam mixture
  10. Dip it in the slurry
  11. And roll it in the bread crumbs
  12. Keep aside for 15 minutes to set
  13. Fry it in oil till crispy
  14. Serve hot with ketchup or mayonnaise sauce
