Ingredients to make Yam fry.

  • yam slices 10
  • chilli powder 1 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • turmeric 2 pinch
  • Garam masala 1/4 tsp
  • salt
  • lime juice 1 tsp.
  • oil for frying.

How to make Yam fry.

  1. cook yam pieces with salt & turmeric adding very little water, just for 5 min. do not overcook. just remove at the stage when we can insert a knife or fork.
  2. mix all other ingredients except oil .make a thick masala addimg some water. just like the masala we make for fish fry.
  3. coat the pieces with masala on both sides. we can keep it for sometime.
  4. heat a pan with oil. if u want u can deep fry.but shallow fry is enough using very oil.
  5. fry both sides
  6. serve hot.

My Tip:

we can store the extra masala coated slices in fridge & use next day too. make skices thin as u like.
