About Nimona Recipe

Nimona is a very famous side dish of Uttar pradesh.It can be serve with any type of roti or prantha.

Nimona

Ingredients to make Nimona

  • peas...250gm
  • potato...1
  • onion...1
  • tomato...1
  • coriander leaves...2cup
  • Green chilli...2
  • garlic cloves...5
  • ginger paste....1tspn
  • cumin seeds ...1tspn
  • ghee...4tspn
  • salt to taste

How to make Nimona

  1. Make a paste of coriander leaves, garlic, ginger, & green chilli .
  2. Coarsely grind peas.
  3. Heat 2tspn ghee & saute chopped potato & peas paste for few minutes.
  4. Then take out from kadhai.
  5. Heat 2 tspn ghee again,add cumin seeds & let it crackle.After few minutes, add chopped onion & tomato..
  6. After few minutes add coriander paste.
  7. Then add potato_peas mixture.
  8. Cook it till soft the mixture.
  9. Add some water, cover it & let it boil.
  10. Serve it with roti or steamed rice.
