ABOUT Burrito RECIPE

Why i love Mexican food is because of the Burrito. A wheat flour tortilla wrapped with a filling of meat, beans, rice, vegetables and spicy salsa!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 450g Ground Beef/Mutton/Chicken
  2. 450g Salsa
  3. 400g Kidney Beans (rajma boiled)
  4. 6 Flour Tortillas
  5. 1 cup Rice
  6. 1 Green Bell Pepper (capsicum) chopped
  7. 1 Tomato chopped
  8. 1/2 cup Lettuce grated
  9. 2 tbs Cheese (any) grated
  10. 1 tbs olives chopped
  11. Sour Cream
  12. Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet. Cook the meat until brown and it is no longer pink. Drain excess oil.
  2. Add the salsa and bell pepper. Bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in the rice, cover and cook for 15 mins.
  4. Warm the bean in a microwave for 30 seconds. Place the warmed beans between each tortilla spreading down the center.
  5. Now top the beans by placing the meat mixture then cheese, lettuce, olives and tomato.
  6. Fold the top and bottom over the filling then fold over the sides to enclose the filling.
  7. Serve with sour cream on top.
