This is an uttarkhand ka special aloo Gutake recipe. Til ka flavour is very tasty. Adding Uttarkhand ka jhakiya seeds to this recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 large potatoes
  2. 2 tbsp white sesame seeds
  3. 2 tsp jakiya seeds(if u not available u use mustard seeds instead of jakiya seeds)
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  6. 2-3 Green chilli chopped
  7. 3-4 tbsp Coriander leaves
  8. Pinch of hing
  9. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  10. 3 tsp oil
  11. 1/2 Lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Firstly heat the pan and add white or black sesame seeds. And dry roast for 10 mins on low flame.
  2. After remove from heat and cool them completely keep aside.
  3. Once cooled, transfer to the blender or mixi jar , some roasted sesame seeds are keep it for garnish. and add coriander leaves, and green chilli.
  4. Now grind to coarsely paste and keep aside
  5. Next heat the oil add jakiya seeds or Mustard seeds, allow it to splutter them. Then add chopped green chilli, pinch of hing, saute well
  6. Now add boiled,peeled & roughly chopped potatoes, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, grinded paste.
  7. After add salt to taste, and give a good mix. Now off the flame and squeeze the half lemon juice. mix well
  8. Lastly garnish with roasted sesame seeds, and Coriander leaves. serve with chapati or rice, roti.
