ABOUT Mirchi Achaar RECIPE

It's a pickle recipe that I have learnt from my mom. I love this recipe and hope you guys will like it as well. It's a sour and spicy pickle. Spice lovers are going to love it!

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Green chillies 12-15
  2. Turmeric powder- a pinch
  3. Garlic 8 cloves
  4. Yellow mustard seeds 2 teaspoon
  5. Lemon 2 whole
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Mustard oil to shallow fry
  8. Water as required

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut the chillies into small size and keep it aside.
  2. Take a pan and put in some mustard oil. Let the oil heat properly. Then put the chillies into it and let it fry for 2-3 minutes. Once fried, keep the chillies aside.
  3. In a mixer, grind the garlic and mustard seeds together to make a nice paste.
  4. Then take a bowl and pour in the mustard garlic paste, then add the turmeric powder, lemon juice, water, fried chillies and mix it well. It should be of a thick consistency.
  5. Enjoy it with hot parathas or anything you like!
