Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Grated coconut skin removed- 2- cups
  2. Chopped pistachios- 2- tbsp
  3. Ghee- 2- tesp
  4. Sugar- 2- cups
  5. Generous pinch saffron- 1- pinch
  6. Hot water- 2- tbsp


  1. Brush ghee on a tray and set aside.Soak saffron in hot water for 30 minutes.Place a pan on low flame.Add ghee to it.
  2. Saute the grated coconut for few seconds without browning it.
  3. Add in the sugar and stir.
  4. Once the mixture forms a lump add saffron with the soaked water.
  5. Mix well when its a bit dry,pour in a greased plate ,spread to desired thickness, sprinkle pistachio press lightly.
  6. Let set for few seconds and slice it.
