  1. for pressure cooking: ▢1.5 cup toor dal (rinsed) ▢6 tbsp masoor dal (rinsed) ▢0.75 tsp turmeric ▢1.5 tsp salt ▢3 tsp oil ▢4.5 cup water for dal: ▢6 tbsp ghee / clarified butter ▢1.5 tsp cumin / jeera ▢3 bay leaf / tej patta ▢pinch hing / asafoetida ▢6 dried red chilli ▢6 clove garlic (crushed) ▢3 inch ginger (crushed) ▢3 chilli (slit) ▢3 onion (finely chopped) ▢0.75 tsp turmeric ▢1.5 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder ▢1.5 tsp coriander powder ▢1.5 tsp salt ▢3 tomato (finely chopped) ▢6 tbsp coriander (finely chopped) ▢3 tsp kasuri methi (crushed) ▢0.75 tsp garam masala for tadka: ▢3 tsp ghee / clarified butter ▢1.5 tsp cumin / jeera ▢pinch hing / asafoetida ▢3 dried red chilli ▢0.75 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder ▢3 tsp coriander (finely chopped)
