Hyderabadi Aaloo Gosht

Ingredients to make Hyderabadi Aaloo Gosht

  • Mutton bone in 500gm
  • potatoes 250gm
  • onions about 3 finely sliced
  • oil about 2 to 3 tbsp
  • chilli powder a tbsp or more
  • garam masala a tsp
  • ginger garlic paste fresh a tbsp
  • Green chillies slit in the center about 5
  • coriander roasted and powdered a tbsp
  • cumin roasted and powdered a tsp
  • coriander leaves finely chopped
  • salt to taste

How to make Hyderabadi Aaloo Gosht

  1. Wash and pressure cook the mutton with all the masalas until done along with oil
  2. Saute the onions and the masalas well before putting on the lid of the cooker
  3. Wash and peel the potatoes and cut into cubes
  4. After the mutton is done, add the potatoes and simmer on low flame
  5. Garnish with coriander and serve hot with plain rice or naan
  6. You can adjust the consistency of the gravy according to your liking

My Tip:

Do not add much water to the mutton while pressure cooking. Add only as needed.
