Shaami Kabaabs...

Ingredients to make Shaami Kabaabs...

  • Mutton boneless cut into small cubes 500gm
  • chana dal or Bengal gram a handful
  • chilli powder a tbsp
  • Green chillies chopped about 5
  • coriander and mint a handful each
  • Garam masala a tbsp
  • ginger garlic paste fresh a tbsp
  • Kabab masala readymade a tbsp or can just dry roast the kababchini/cubeb a tsp along with caraway seeds a tsp, star anise or badiyan ka phool about 2 and black pepper corns a tsp. Grind all this and add a tbsp.
  • oil about 2 tbsp
  • Extra oil for shallow frying as required.
  • salt to taste
  • onion 1 large chopped

How to make Shaami Kabaabs...

  1. Pressure cook the mutton, dal and all the other ingredients with little water for 8 mins
  2. Let it cool down.
  3. Grind it and make a smooth mix.
  4. Shape into shami kababs and shallow fry.
  5. You can shape them into oval or round shapes.

My Tip:

Soak the dal well in advance and it should be just a handful. Not much than that.
