Ingredients to make Focaccia Bread

  • 500 gram all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 6 gram active dry yeast
  • 4-5 tbsp olive oil
  • 365 ml water
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 150 gram grated mozzarella
  • 10-12 black olives

How to make Focaccia Bread

  1. In luke warm water, add sugar and dry yeast, let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients.
  3. Now mix in the yeast mixture in the dry ingredients and add 2 tbsp olive oil.
  4. Lightly flour your working table and knead the dough for at least 15 minutes or until the dough becomes smooth and elastic. If needed add more dry flour. (Knead the dough in a stretch and fold method.)
  5. Lightly oil a large bowl and place the dough in the center. Also, brush the oil on the dough. Cover with a cling wrap. Let it rest for 20 minutes in a warm place.
  6. Punch the dough and place it on a greased baking tray. Pat the dough to make a rectangular. Apply olive oil on top. Using your fingers puncher the dough.
  7. Sprinkle parmesan cheese, black olive, oregano and black pepper on the top. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  8. Pre heat your oven at 220 degree centigrade and bake it for 15 minutes.
