ABOUT Patod Rolls RECIPE

I have learnt this recipe from my maternal aunts, it is a very healthy recipe full of protein, can be easily made as all ingredients of this dish are easily available at home and easy to cook.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Gram flour - 1 cup
  2. Buttermilk - 3 cup
  3. Salt as per taste
  4. Red chili powder as per taste
  5. Curry leaves a few
  6. Oil 1 tsp
  7. Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  8. Ghee a few drops
  9. Coconut powder as required (Optional)

Instructions

  1. First grease a kadhai with few drops of oil and add gram flour to it. Add buttermilk slowly to it, make sure no lumps form. Add salt, red chili powder and mix it well.
  2. Take a big plate, grease the plate with ghee (on back side of plate).
  3. Heat this kadai on medium - low flame, cook this mixture, continuously you have to stir the batter with the help of a spoon.
  4. Test the batter by taking the little bit of the cooked batter on the plate, if it is not in liquid form means it is ready. Turn off the gas.
  5. With the help of a spoon and stainless spatula spread the cooked batter on back side of plate evenly. After two minutes, spread coconut powder (If using) on that, and with the help of knife make rolls.
  6. In a tadka pan, heat oil, crackle mustard seeds, curry leaves. Pour this tadka on patod rolls. Serve.
