Dahi ki Tikki

Ingredients to make Dahi ki Tikki

  • 2 cups curd (Hung for 30 minutes in a muslin cloth)
  • 1/2 cup besan
  • 1/2 onion finely chopped
  • 2 green chillies finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander
  • 1 1/2 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1 tsp salt or as per your taste
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi
  • 1/4 tsp red chilly powder
  • oil for frying

How to make Dahi ki Tikki

  1. Hang the curd in a muslin cloth. Squeeze to drain out all the extra water.
  2. Take this hung curd in a bowl, add besan to it and mix together nicely. (No lumps)
  3. Add chopped onion, green chillies, fresh coriander, ginger, salt, garam masala, kasoori methi and red chilli powder. Mix nicely.
  4. Take a pan, add the above mixture to it and cook. Stir constantly on medium heat for about 5-7 minutes or till it turns thick and the mixture stops sticking to kadai. Turn off the gas and let it cool.
  5. Wet your palm, roll small balls and flatten them in shape of tikki. Refrigerate it for half an hour.
  6. Take them out at time of Frying. Deep fry them till golden brown and crispy.
