Yakhni Mutton pulav

Ingredients to make Yakhni Mutton pulav

  • Mutton pieces chops washed and cleaned 3/4 kilo
  • onion 4 sliced
  • potatoes cut 2-3(potatoes)
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • salt as taste
  • oil
  • Soaked chana dal 1/4 cup
  • Whole garam masala
  • bay leaf 2
  • Shah zeera 1 tsp
  • green chillies 4 to 5
  • Corriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • pepper 1 tsp
  • 1 cup curd
  • Soaked rice 2 cups
  • Water for cooking rice

How to make Yakhni Mutton pulav

  1. Cook the mutton with onion, ginger, garlic paste, salt and oil till mutton is half done. Soak 1/4 cup chana dal for 4 -5 hours. In another pan heat oil add whole garam masala bay leaf shah zeera once it starts crackling add in mutton with the stock add green chillies add in soaked chana dal and potatoes .
  2. Add in coriander powder pepper garam masala and cook till chana is half done. Add in 1 cup curd. Cook for some time then add the soaked rice salt and cook till rice is done.
  3. Serve hot with curd salad.

My Tip:

You can add green chilli paste for a spicy yakhni.
