ABOUT Rice kheer RECIPE

It is a sweet dish . I have given a twist by using brown rice , and I have used custard and mtr badam milk pd to give a flavor an taste to the dish . If you wish to add fruits to give a rich look. As this dish is nutritous since I have used brown rice which is good for sugar patients.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup raw brown rice soaked in water
  2. 2 tbsp custard pd
  3. 3tbsp mtr badam mix pd
  4. 2tsp sugar free pd
  5. 1/2 cup mixed dry fruits ( almonds, cashew nuts, khismis, walnuts, pistachio )
  6. 1 lt milk
  7. 1/2 tsp ghee
  8. 5 to 6 strands kesar
  9. 1 cup mixed fruits optional

Instructions

  1. In a thick bottom vessel add ghee fry the dry fruits till light brown then add the brown rice and fry well.
  2. Then add the boiled milk keep stirring till the rice is cooked.
  3. Then add custard pd mixed in little milk, mtr badam pd and mix well.
  4. Then add it to the rice and keep stiring till thick.
  5. Then add keser strands to it.
  6. If you want a rich look you can add chopped fruits like apple, banana, grapes, pomegranate, papaya.
  7. Serve cold.
