Ingredients to make Aloo Tokri

  • potatoes - 5
  • salt to taste
  • oil for frying

How to make Aloo Tokri

  1. Grate potatoes one by one.
  2. Squeeze it's juice.
  3. Spread it on a tea strainer, keep another strainer on it.
  4. Heat oil in a kadahi.
  5. Hold both the strainers, one over the other and keep in hot oil.
  6. Fry on medium flame till the potatoes turn golden brown.
  7. Now remove from oil, lift one strainer and demould the aloo tokri carefully by loosening its edges with a knife.
  8. Keep on a tissue paper and let it cool.
  9. Store in an airtight container and add ingredients of your choice and make tokri chaat.

My Tip:

If your tokri breaks, add little kuttu ka aata during fasts and maida if not fasting.
