ABOUT SHAKKARPARE RECIPE

A very simple yet tasty snack .Made with very few ingredients which are easily available at home . my mom's recipe and I love it .

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. aata- 4 cups ( 500 grams)
  2. Sugar - 2 cups
  3. ghee- 1/ 4th cup
  4. poppy seeds - a handful
  5. Oil or ghee for frying
  6. water - 1 cup for kneading .

Instructions

  1. Sieve aata and keep aside
  2. Heat water in a pan and add sugar to it , let it dissolve . Put the gas off . Let it cool
  3. Now add this to the aata.
  4. add ghee and poppy seeds too
  5. Knead to a firm dough
  6. Heat oil or ghee in a kadahi
  7. Take a small portion of it . Roll into a big chapati ( lil thick than a chapati ) Cut into desired shape .
  8. Fry on medium to low flame
  9. Drain on a tissue paper
  10. Store in an air tight container when cool .
