Chilli soya chicken

Ingredients to make Chilli soya chicken

  • 500 grams boneless chicken cubes
  • 2 tablespoons of onion paste
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup cornflour
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons of tomato sauce
  • 4 tablespoons of soya sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of red chilli sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of white vinegar
  • 1 capsicum diced
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped spring onion greens
  • 5 green chillies coarsely chopped
  • 8 cloves garlic coarsely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • Vegetable oil for deep frying chicken

How to make Chilli soya chicken

  1. Mix the flour, cornflour , salt ,onion paste , ginger garlic paste, and egg to the chicken and leave for 15 minutes
  2. Heat oil in a wok and deep fry the chicken pieces till cooked well.
  3. Remove and keep aside.
  4. In another wok put 3 tablespoons of the hot oil and add the chopped garlic and green chillies.
  5. Add the onions and saute for a minute. Add the capsicum.
  6. Now add all the sauces , vinegar and salt to taste. Cook for a minute or two.
  7. Add the chicken pieces are toss well till all the pieces are coated with the sauce.
  8. Add the spring onion greens, toss and immediately remove from heat.
  9. Serve hot.
