Spicy Prawns Gravy

Ingredients to make Spicy Prawns Gravy

  • Prawns 1/2 kg
  • 2 onion chopped
  • 2 big tomatoes chopped
  • Half bunch of coriander leaves
  • Black pepper 1/2 tablespoon
  • green chillies 6-7 pieces
  • 1/2 inch cinnamon
  • cloves 2-3
  • Cooking cream or cashew paste 2 tablespoon
  • turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • oil 3 tablespoon
  • 7-8 garlic cloves
  • ginger 1 inch
  • Roasted saunf 1 teaspoon

How to make Spicy Prawns Gravy

  1. Clean the prawns and keep it in the bowl.
  2. Take a pan and heat 2-3 tsp of oil in the pan, then add in the cloves, cinnamon, chopped onion and fry till it turns golden brown in colour.
  3. Take the green chilli, coriander leaves, roasted saunf, ginger, garlic, black pepper and grind it in a blender.
  4. Add this grounded mixture into the fried onion pan and cook it for a minute. Then add in the chopped tomatoes and salt into the pan. Stir it well.
  5. Next add the prawns into the pan and cook it for 1-2 minutes. Then add in the cashew paste or cooking cream into the pan and cook it for 2 3 minutes.
  6. Add in the lemon juice and garnish it with spring onion and coriander leaves.
  7. Your delicious prawns gravy is ready to be served!

My Tip:

Always wash the sea food with vinegar, a pinch of turmeric powder and salt to get rid of the smell. Do not over cook the prawns else it will taste like rubber.
