Instant Bread Paniyaram (Sweet)

Ingredients to make Instant Bread Paniyaram (Sweet)

  • Bread slices - 4
  • Rava - 2 Tablespoons
  • sugar (Brown) - 2 Tablespoons
  • Milk (Boiled) - 1 Cup
  • cardamom powder - A pinch
  • ghee / Oil - As Required

How to make Instant Bread Paniyaram (Sweet)

  1. Cut the bread into small pieces.
  2. Take a bowl. Add in the bread pieces, rava, brown sugar and cardamom powder. Mix them well.
  3. Add milk to the mixture little by little and mix it well until the mixture reaches the consistency of the dough/batter suitable for making paniyaram.
  4. Heat up a paniyaram pan/kadai on a low flame and grease the pits/moulds with a little ghee or oil.
  5. Pour the dough/batter to the pits/moulds using small spoon. Ensure there is enough space to flip/turn the paniyaram while cooking. Do not over pour the dough and fill the pits completely.
  6. Cook the paniyaram 2-3 minutes on each side or until done. Flip/turn them carefully using small size spoon. If required add few drops of ghee/oil to the sides so they are cooked evenly and turn crispy.
  7. Serve them hot.

My Tip:

I prefer brown sugar/jaggery for this dish as it would give the traditional paniyaram color. Normal or refined sugar can also be used. Adjust the quantity of sugar as per your taste. The dough/batter can be used immediately. No fermentation required.
