ABOUT Kuzhi Paniyaram RECIPE

These are made out of idli or dosa batter.Loved by kids and adults. Goes well with kara or white chutney,or idli podi.You can hv it as a snack,for breskfast or dinner.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups of idli or dosa bstter
  2. 1 medium onion finely chopped
  3. 1 green chilli chopped
  4. 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  5. Few curry leaves chopped
  6. 1/2 tesp mustard seeds
  7. 1/2 ,tesp urad dal
  8. 1 tesp oil
  9. Oil to shallow fry in paniyaram pan

Instructions

  1. Mix onion,chilli, coriander ,curry leaves in the idli or dosa batter
  2. In a small pan add oil place on medium heat,add mustard and urad dal,once it splutters add it to the batter.
  3. Place the paniyaram pan on medium heat adding oil filling 3/4of each cavity
  4. Spoon the batter filling the cavity
  5. Let cook for a minute turn it using a spoon.
  6. Repeat this till the paniyaram is crispy and golden brown
  7. Serve hot with white or kara chutney or idli podi.
