ABOUT Moong dal Paniyaram RECIPE

This healthy sweet snack recipe made with goodness of yellow moong and jaggery is one of my favourite dish by my mom .She used to make it for me during my childhood days when i come back from school .Love the taste!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Yellow Moong dal -1 cup
  2. Jaggery -1 cup
  3. Rice-1/2 cup
  4. Methi seeds -1 teaspoon
  5. Cardamom powder -1/2 teaspoon
  6. oil for making paniyaram

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak yellow moong dal,rice and methi seeds in water for 3 hours
  2. Drain the water and grind them in mixie along with jaggery and cardamom powder to a smooth paste.The batter should be like that of dosa batter.
  3. Grease paniyaram kadai with oil and when heated ,pour the batter in each mould up to 3/4 th and cook in low flame .Flip over and cook other side
  4. Serve hot
