ABOUT Fried banana balls ( Cekodok Pisang / Jemput-jemput Pisang) RECIPE

Jemput-jemput (also called Cekodok,Cokodok or Cucur) is a traditional Malays fritter snack in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore that is made from flour and then fried.It is usually round in shape and tends to vary in size. Here have added sesame seeds which adds an extra crunch in every bites! You could serve them in breakfast or evening snacks. It's really very easy and quick recipe!

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 bananas, mashed
  2. 1 cup all purpose flour
  3. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  4. 1 teaspoon salt, optional
  5. 1 teaspoon sugar
  6. 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients except oil and knead it well.
  2. Now rest the dough for 1 hour.
  3. Make the balls from the dough.
  4. Nowheat the wok with enough oil to deep fry.
  5. Fry the banana balls until they become golden brown.
  6. Remove from the heat and serve hot in breakfast or evening snacks with masala chai!
