Channa tawa pulao

Ingredients to make Channa tawa pulao

  • rice vermicelli - 2 cups
  • Channa(chickpeas) - 1 cup, boiled
  • onion - 1, finely chopped
  • Green bell peppers - 1, finely chopped
  • Pav bhaji masala - 2 tsp
  • red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • sugar - a small pinch
  • salt to taste
  • oil - 1 tsp

How to make Channa tawa pulao

  1. In a bowl, add the rice vermicelli and pour boiling water over it just until the vermicelli is immersed. Cover and leave it for 10 minutes or until done.
  2. You can drain out the excess water later, if any.
  3. Heat some oil in a pan and add the onions, green bell peppers, a pinch of sugar and saute for a minute or two.
  4. Add the red chilli powder, pav bhaji masala, salt and mix well.
  5. Saute for a couple more minutes.
  6. Add the cooked vermicelli and give it a good toss.
  7. Check for seasoning and remove from heat.
  8. Squeeze a little lemon juice, mix well and serve.
