Carrot Chutney

Ingredients to make Carrot Chutney

  • carrot chopped 1
  • onion chopped 1
  • Groundnuts 2tbsp
  • jaggery 1tbsp
  • tamarind pulp 2tbsps
  • salt to taste
  • Karipatta 10-12
  • Rayi
  • jeera
  • Green chilli 2
  • oil 1tbsp
  • Sambher masala 1tbsp
  • Red chilli powder 1tsp
  • water as needed

How to make Carrot Chutney

  1. Heat a pan add oil in it
  2. Add rayi jeera kariptta harimirch
  3. Add groundnuts and onions. Saute
  4. As onions become light brown add salt, chilli powder, sambhar masala, tamarind pulp and jaggery
  5. Cook for 2 minutes
  6. Turn off the gas and let it cool
  7. Add carrots to it and grind it to get a fine paste
  8. Chutney is ready to be served.

My Tip:

Can be stored in an airtight container in a fridge for a week
