Ingredients to make Protein overload Rajma Chickpeas Oats Cutlets

  • 1/2 cup rajma
  • 1/2 cup chickpeas
  • 1/4 cup instant oats
  • 1 brown bread slice, crust removed
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger-garlic-green chilli paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • Pink rock salt to taste or common salt
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 2 tablespoon chopped green coriander leaves

How to make Protein overload Rajma Chickpeas Oats Cutlets

  1. Wash and soak the chickpeas and rajma separately overnight
  2. Next morning pressure cook the chick peas alongwith salt for 4 whistles.
  3. Remove and keep in a strainer to dry up.
  4. Now, Pressure cook the rajma alongwith salt for 6-7 whistles till soft.
  5. Keep aside in strainer to drain extra water and dry up.
  6. Soak the bread slice in water for 30 seconds.
  7. Squeeze out the water and let it dry for a couple of minutes.
  8. Mash the chickpeas and rajma with fingers or pav bhaji beater.
  9. Add all the ingredients together except the oil.
  10. Shape like cutlets.
  11. Shallow fry till golden brown on both sides.
  12. Serve with chutney.
